Visit the Bishop Museum
The Bishop Museum in Honolulu was founded in 1889 by Charles Reed Bishop to honor his late wife Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop. Mr. Bishop built the museum's Polynesian and Hawaiian halls on the grounds of the original Kamehameha School for Boys and the museum and school shared the grounds until 1940 when a new and larger school complex was built in Kapalama Heights. Today the Bishop Museum is the largest museum in Hawaii and it houses an extensive collection of Hawaiian artifacts and royal family heirlooms of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop.

Visit the Princess Pauahi Bishop Statue
One of the events celebrating the 176th anniversary of the birthday of Princess Bishop Pauahi Bishop was the installation of a bronze statue of the princess in the Royal Grove area of Waikiki's Royal Hawaiian Center in December of 2007. The statue is named "Ka Ikena Hooulu a Pauahi" ("The inspired vision of Pauahi") and it depicts the princess sitting down, holding a book, with a young girl sitting beside her.
