Veterans Day in Hawaii
Veterans Day events in Hawaii include a ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu and Veterans Day parades in Waianae (2009 was 28th) and Wahiawa (2009 was 64th, lion's club) in West Oahu There is also a Veterans DAy parade in Hilo on the east side of the Big island of Hawaii.

Waikiki Holiday Parade
This annual parade down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki always takes place the Friday evening after Thanksgiving, The parade is most well-known for its large number military bands and other bands from Hawaii and across the United States.

About Armed Forces Day
United States Armed Forces Day is observed on the third Saturday in May. The day was created by Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson on August 31, 1949 to replace the separate Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Days (itdidn't really work because all of those days are still celebrated today). About Flag Day
In the United States, Flag Day occurs every June 14 and it is a day set aside to commemorate the adoption of the United States flag in 1977. It is not a federal holiday, or an official Hawaii state holiday, it is an official holiday in some states. In 1916 President Woodrow proclaimed June 14 to be Flag Day in the United States and in 1949 National Flag Day was established by the U.S. Congress.
