About Flag Day
In the United States, Flag Day occurs
every June 14 and it is a day set
aside to commemorate the adoption of the
United States flag in 1977. It is
not a federal holiday, or an official Hawaii state holiday,
it is an official holiday in some states.
In 1916 President Woodrow proclaimed
June 14 to be Flag Day in the United
States and in 1949 National Flag Day
