2009 LPGA Golf Tournaments in Hawaii

In November of 2008 the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced there would be two Hawaii events on the 2009 LPGA Tour, but one Hawaii golf tournament, previously on the tour, was dropped.

On November 19, 2008, Carolyn Bivens, Commissioner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced that the 2009 LPGA Tour would include two Hawaii events:

LPGA SBS Open
DATE: February 9-14, 2009
VENUE: Palmer Course at the Turtle Bay Resort
LOCATION: North Shore of Oahu

LPGA Kapalua Classic
DATE: October 12-18, 2009
VENUE: Bay Course at the Kapalua Resort
LOCATION: Northwest coast of Maui

One of ladies golf tournaments in Hawaii that was previously on the LPGA Tour has been discontinued in 2009. The LPGA Fields Open in Hawaii, held on the west coast of Oahu since 2006, was not included on the 2009 LPGA Tour.
