Father's Day Hawaiian Music Festival at Sea Life Park
The first annual Father's Day Hawaiian Music Festival
will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Sea Life Park
on the southeast coast of Oahu. The event will take place
from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and it will feature live
entertainment by some of Hawaii's top musicians and
singers including Kalapana, Kapena, and Beach 5.
There will also be Hawaiian food and Budweiser beer
available for purchase.
Augie T Father's Day Comedy Show
Hawaii comedian Augie Tulba - aka "Augie T" -
will perform his comedy show at a 2009 Father's Day
event on June 21, 2009 at the Pagoda Hotel in the
Ala Moana area of Honolulu.
Frank De Lima Father's Day Comedy Show
Hawaii comedian Frank De Lima will perform his comedy
show twice on Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, 2009
Dot's in Wahiawa (130 Mango Street). Doors will open
at 5:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m..

Father's Day Star Show at Ko Olina
On Sunday, June 21, 2009, between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m.
there will be a special star show featuring hula
performances and speakers from the Institute of Astronomy,
the Hawaiian Astronomical Society, and the NASA JPL
Solar System Ambassadors Program. The event will
take place at the 4th Ko Olina Lagoon on the grass
between the Marina and the Ocean.
Father's Day at the 50th State Fair
The last night of the 50th State Fair at the Aloha
Stadium is on Father's Day in 2009.
Gregg Hammer Band Father's Day Show
Dave and Buster's in Honolulu will feature
a Father's Day show on Sunday, June 21, 2009
featuring live entertainment by the Gregg

Pineapple Room Father's Day Brunch
Alan Wong's Pineapple Room Restaurant on
the third floor of Macy's Ala Moana,
will serve a special Father's Day
buffet brunch from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
on Father's Day, June 21, 2009.
The menu will feature "manly" dishes such as
prime rib of beef, short ribs, mahimahi,
steak and eggs, omelets made to order, home style potatoes,
plenty of desserts, and lots of other items.

Hawaii Kai Father's Day Pancake Breakfast
The 36th Annual Hawaii Kai Lions Club Father's
Day Pancake Breakfast will take place on
Father's Day, Sunday, June 21, 2009 from
6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The breakfast
will take place in the Kaiser High School
at 511 Lunalilo Home Road in Hawaii Kai.
Proceeds from the pancake breakfast will be
used to fund vision testing
for East Oahu children,
the Hawaii Kai Holiday Parade,
the Hawaii Kai Library, and other community projects.
Tickets to the breakfast are $6.00 each
and they can be purchased at the door.
Both eat-in and take-out service will be available.
Father's Day Up In Smoke Cook-Off
This Friends of Heeia benefit barbecue contest will take place
on Father's Day, June 21, 2009, in Heeia State Park in Kaneohe
on the eastern windward side of Oahu. The event is
open to the public and categories will
include smoked meat, smoked chicken, smoked pork,
smoked fish, and smoked anything goes.
Hinano Father's Day Paddleboard Race
The 2009 Hinano Father's Day Race is a paddleboarding
competition sanctioned by the Hawaii Paddleboard Association.
The event will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2009
and the race's 4 mile course will begin at Sunset Beach and
end at Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. For more information

Maui Father's Day Events
Maui Slack Key Guitar Festival
The 18th annual Maui Slack Key Guitar Festival will
tale place at the Maui Arts Center's Alexander
and Baldwin Amphitheater on Father's Day, June 21,
2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. admission is Free.
Daniel Perreira Memorial Spearfishing Tournament
This Maui father/child spearfishing tournament
takes place on Maui every year on Father's Day.
Maui's annual Father's Day Spearfishing tournament
was renamed in 2003 when two year old Daniel Perriera
died of neuroblastoma cancer one week before his
3rd birthday. Proceeds from the tournament are used
to fight childhood cancer. The 2007 Daniel Perreira Memorial
Spearfishing Tournament raised nearly $4000 for a 10 month
old cancer patient and his family and that year another
414,000 was donated to the Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation.
Big Island Father's Day Events
"Run Forest Run" Keiki Fun Runs
The inaugural Run Forest Run Keiki Fun Runs will be
held at the Hale Halawai State Park. The event
will feature running and walking events for children
age 1 through 14 and all finishers will receive a t-shirt,
a finisher ribbon, and a goodie bag. For more information

Kona Marathon Web site (note that the full Kona Marathon
takes place a week after this keiki run).

Bana Poka Roundup Father's Day Forest Fair
An all day fair held in the Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow
at Kokee State Park in West Kauai. The event features
live music, environmental exhibits, and lots of activities
for families and children.
Sierra Club Kauai Father's Day Hike
This Sierra Club Hawaii hike on the east coast of Kauai
celebrates both Father's Day and the first day of Summer.
