Introduction to the Aloha Festival

General information about the Hawaiian cultural celebrations know as the Aloha Festival and Aloha Week.

The Aloha Festival is an annual Hawaiian cultural celebration that was first established in 1946 as Aloha Week. Aloha Week included the presentation of an honorary royal court and a two hour parade in Waikiki. In 1991 the event was expanded to other islands and renamed Aloha Festivals. Aloha Festivals events now include royal court presentations, parades, concerts, cultural demonstrations, and special celebrations on all of the largest Hawaiian Islands. 2007 Aloha Festival

The 61st annual Aloha Festival will take place September 6 through October 31, 2007. There will be many different events scheduled on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai,Lanai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. More detailed information will be posted here when it is available.
