The Lihue Christmas Parade in East Kauai is part of the Kauai Christmas Festival and it is called the "Parade of Lights". The Waimea Lighted Christmas Parade takes place in the southwest Kauai town of Waimea. The Waimea Christmas Parade was held for the first time in 1995. The route begins at Waimea Canyon Park and it proceeds down the Kaumualii Highway, to Ala Wai Road, to Waimea Road, and it ends at Hofgaard Park in the center of Waimea Town.
