The Molokai Hoe is an outrigger canoe race across the Kaiwi Channel, from Molokai to Oahu, that usually takes place in October. Is considered the world championships of men's long distance outrigger canoe racing. The event begins at Hale O Lono Harbor on Molokai and ends at Duke Kahanamoku Beach in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel in Waikiki.
