The 2008 Molokai Hoe men's outrigger canoe race took place on Sunday, October 12, 2008 and more then 1000 canoe paddlers from around the world participated. In 2008, Shell Vaa of Tahiti broke their own record by finishing in 4 hours, 38 minutes, and 35 seconds. 2008 Molokai Hoe was the 56th Molokai Hoe Canoe Race.

DATE: 2007
The 2007 Molokai Hoe took place on Sunday, October 7, 2007, beginning at 7:30 in the morning. In 2007, Shell Vaa of Tahiti set a new course record of 4 hours, 20 minutes, and 22 seconds. 2007 Molokai Hoe was the 55th Molokai Hoe Canoe Race.

EDITION: 2006 Molokai Hoe
Shell Vaa of Tahiti finished first in the 2006 Molokai Hoe outrigger canoe race.

EDITION: 2000 Molokai Hoe
In 2000 the Lanikai Canoe Club broke their own record by winning in 4 hours, 50 minutes, and 31 seconds.

EDITION: 1995 Molokai Hoe
In 1955 the Lanikai Canoe Club established a new course record of 4 hours, 53 minutes, and 3 seconds.

EDITION: 1993 Molokai Hoe
This was the first year the Molokai Hoe was completed in under five hours. In 1993 the Faaa Canoe Club of Tahiti finished in 4 hours, 55 minutes, and 27 seconds.

EDITION: Inaugural Molokai Hoe
DATE: 1952 Molokai Hoe
The first Molokai Hoe outrigger canoe race between Molokai and Oahu took place in 1952. Three teams competed that year, the Waikiki Surf Club, the Hawaiian Surf Club, and the Kukui O Lanikaula Surf Club of Molokai, who won the race.
