This Hawaii Island event is taking a break in 2009 but it is expected to be back again in 2010.

Flavors of Honolulu Festival
The name of this Honolulu food festival and funraiser was changed from "Taste of Honolulu" to "Flavors of Honolulu" in 2007 after Easter Seals Hawaii ended their sponsorship of the event. In 2007 and 2008 the event was a fundraiser for Abilities Unlimited, an organization also known as Winners at Work, Inc.

Hawaii Dragon Boat Festival
Annual boat races and family festival in Honolulu's Ala Moana Park that usually takes place in June.

Kapalua Wine and Food Festival
This event is a four day food and wine celebration [that includes winemaker dinners, the Kapalua Seafood Festival, and wine tasting sessions. The 28th Annual Kapalua Wine and Food Festival took place on the grounds of the Kapalua Resort in West Maui on June 11, 2009.

King Kamehameha Day Celebration

King Kamehameha Hula Competition
Annual June Oahu hula competition presented by the Hawaii State Council on Hawaiian Heritage. Competition categories include Chant, Hula Kahiko, and Hula Auana.

Maui Film Festival

Pan Pacific Festival
Annual Oahu festival. The festival features hula halau from Japan and Hawaii performing at Ala Moana Center and other venues and a parade on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki. The 2009 Pan Pacific Festival will take place in Honolulu June 5-7, 2009.

Puuhonua o Honaunau Cultural Festival Puuhonua O Honaunau Cultural Festival
Annual Hawaiian cultural festival at Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park on the west side of Hawaii Island. Features activities such as net fishing, weaving, cooking and traditional Hawaiian culture demonstrations. The 2009 Puuhonua O Honaunau Cultural Festival will take place June 27-28, 2009.
