Chinese Narcissus Festival
Features a Narcissus Queen Pageant, usually held in January, and appearances by the royal court throughout the year.

Chinese New Year Festival
Chinese New Year takes place every year in either January or January. Hawaii Chinese New Year celebrations include a Narcissus Festival and Queen Pageant on Oahu and Chinese New Year street festivals, parades and lion dance processions on several islands.

Ipu Cultural Festival
Annual January Big Island festival celebrating the diver culture surrounding the Ipu (aka Hawaiian gourd).

Ka Molokai Makahiki Festival
Annual harvest festival on the island of Molokai that usually takes place in January at the Mitchell Pauole Center in the center of Kaunakakai Town.

Maui Tango Festival
This tango festival place every July and it features tango classes and toher dancing classes and evening cocktail and tango parties. The 7th Annual TangoFest Maui will take palce July 24-26, 2009 at Studio Maui in Haiku.

Maui Film Festival First Lights
The Maui Film Festival usually takes place in June but they also screen Academy Award nominated movies at special "First Lights" events in December and January.

Moanikeala Hula Festival
This hula festival at the Polynesian Cultural Center in northeast Oahu was originally a competition for children but today it is an exhibition event featuring both children and adult dancers. The 19th Annual Makahiki Festival too place on January 17, 2009 in the PCC's Pacific Theater.

Molokai Makahiki Festival
Annual Hawaiian harvest festival on the island of Molokai featuring Hawaiian games, craft workshops, and traditional ceremonies.

New Year's Mochitsuki Festival
Annual mochi pounding festival held at Honbushin International Center in Mililani, Central Oahu.

New Year's Ohana Festival
Annual festival held at Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii in Honolulu.
