TIME: - 7:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
VENUE: Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC
TICKETS: $300 and $550 per ticket
CAPACITY: 8000 people
ORGANIZER: Gloria Borland (booked the space in April of 2008)

  • Gloria Borland is proeducing a documentary about Obama's life scheduled to be released in December of 2008. She was raised in Hawaii as army kid. Her film is called "An American Boyhood: Barack Obama in Hawaii"
  • Event Committee: Mike Siege, Stephanie Lipscomb, and Skip Kelly (Kelly produced documentary film: "Believe: The Barack Obama Story)
  • Online service providers: John Loggins of darumamedia.org and Mikal Anderson of the Web site "An American Boyhood: Barack Obama in Hawaii".
  • Different spaces throughout the hotel will be modeled on different themes in Obama's life: Punahou, Makiki, basketball, University of Hawaii where his parents met.

  • Manu Ikaika (traditional Hawaiian music)
  • Brother Ah Aloha World Music Ensemble (Hawaiian/Jazz fusion)
  • George Clinton and hisi P-Funk All Stars
  • Halau O Aulani (hula)
