Independent Frozen Yogurt Shops in Hawaii

Yogurt Mama in Kailua
This independently owned, self-serve frozen yogurt shop opened in East Oahu in February of 2009. Located at 43 Oneawa Street in Kailua. Phone: 808-263-3368 For more information about Yogurt Mama see the MidWeek Yogurt Mama Article.

Yogo Krazy at Downtown Pearlridge (Facebook Page)
This independent Hawaii-based yogurt shop is expected to open at the Downtown Pearlridge Mall in October of 2009. Yogo Krazy will sell self-serve frozen yogurt and shave ice. this link goes to their Facebook page, and you will have to be a member of Facebook to see it (I don't think the public Yogo Krazy Web site is up yet).

Tropic Rush Frozen Yogurt (no Web site?)
This independent, self-serve frozen yogurt shop opened in May 2009 at the Market City Shopping Center at 2919 Kapiolani Boulevard in Honolulu. The store moved into the 1140 square foot former location of the Robeks Fruit Smoothy Shop.

Frozen Yogurt Franchise Shops in Hawaii

Menchie's Frozen Yogurt in Hawaii
A branch of Menchie's opened in Honolulu's Ward Warehouse in November of 2008, another branch opened at Kapolei Commons in May of 2009, and as of this writing Menchie's was expecting to open another branch in at the Town Center of Mililani at some point in the future. for updated information about branches in Hawaii see the Menchie's Locations.

Orange Tree Frozen Yogurt
There are quite a few Orange Tree frozen yogurt branches in Hawaii. Last time I checked there were eight branches on the island of Oahu and one branch in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. For addresses and an update on Hawaii Orange Tree Yogurt locations see the Orange Tree Locations.

Red Mango in Hawaii
There are at least two Red Mango Frozen Yogurt shops in Hawaii, one across the street from the Waikiki Beach Walk Shopping Center and one at the Kahala Mall, a few miles east of Waikiki. The Red Mango recipe is not the same as any other yogurt shop, but to get an idea of its flavor, its closest competitors flavor-wise are the yogurt shops with tart, yogurty tasting recipes such as Pinkberry, Cielo, and Plas Farm. For more information about locations in Hawaii see Red Mango Hawaii Store Locations The first Red Mango shop opened in South Korea in 2002, today has more then 100 shops, and its frozen yogurt has been certified to contain a significant number of live and active cultures.

TCBY in Hawaii
Last time I checked there were four TCBY Frozen Yogurt Shops in Hawaii. One of them is at Ewa Town Center in West Oahu, and the other three are in Honolulu, on Nuuanu Avenue, on Wilder Avenue, and on South King Street. For addresses and updated information about Hawaii locations see the TCBY Store Locator.

Tutti Frutti Fozen Yogurt in Hawaii
The last time I checked there were four Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt shops in Hawaii, in Honolulu and Wahiawa on the island of Oahu and in Kahului and Kihei on the island of Maui. For addresses and updated Hawaii branch information select "Locations" on the Tutti Frutti Web site.

Yami Soft Frozen Yogurt in Hawaii
There is a branch of this Singapore-based frozen yogurt chain inside Ala Moana Center in Honolulu and - at least at one time - there was a branch at 700 Bishop Street in Honolulu and another in Aiea. I think the parent company for Yami Yogurt is Cur-Ton, Inc.

Yogurt Land in Hawaii
There are three Yogurt Land shops in Hawaii and all of them are on the island of Oahu. There is a branch in Hawaii Kai, a branch in Pearl City, and a branch at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Check "Locations" on their Web site for addresses and updated information abut their Hawaii locations. Yogurt Land originated in Orange County California and they are a self-serve yogurt shops with quite a few different flavors. Customers by the ounce for yogurt and toppings.

Zack's Famous Frozen Yogurt
At one time there was a branch of Zack's Famous Frozen Yogurt at the Coconut Marketplace Shopping Center in Kapaa on the east coast of Kauai. Is it still there? Check the Zack's Location Finder to confirm or call 808-822-2112.

Other Hawaii Yogurt Shops
-Kihei Aloha Ice Cream and Yogurt (808-879-0189) South Maui
-Sweet Spot (808-879-8611) Kukui Mall, Maui

Yogurt Shops Not Yet in Hawaii

Cefiore Frozen Yogurt
I don't see any Hawaii branches listed on the official Cefiore Web site, but I believe there is a yogurt chain called "Fiore Italian Natural Yogurt" that has at least one Hawaii location, inside Honolulu's Don Quixote store at 801 Kaheka Street. I think Cefiore and Fiore are two different yogurt shop chains, but I'm not 100% certain about that. At one time there was a Cefiore Frozen Yogurt shop at Ala Moana Center but that shop is not listed in the official Cefiore shop locator. Check the Cefiore Store Locator for updated information about Cefiore franchise locations.

Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt
I thought I read someplace that there was at least one Pinkberry in Hawaii, but according to the official Pinkberry shop locator, there is not. You can check yourself for Pinkberry branches in Hawaii by visiting the Pinkberry Store Locator. The original Pinkberry shop opened in West Hollywood, in Southern California in about 2005 and because of its unique tart flavor and fresh fruit toppings it often had lines around the block.

Yogurberry
Last time I checked Yoguberry did not yet have any locations in Hawaii. Their only branches in the United States were in the states of Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Their other locations are in China, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The first Yoguberry shop opened in November of 2004 in Korea. Their parent company is Whostyle, Inc.

Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt
There are not yet any Golden Spoon locations in Hawaii. Most of their branches are in California but they also have a shops in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Tokyo, Japan.
