Two Historic Novels Set in Hawaii
by Alan Brennert

Emmy award winning screenwriter Alan Brennert has written two historic novels set in Hawaii, both featuring female lead characters. His first Hawaii based novel, entitled "Molokai", was published in 2003. His second, entitled "Honolulu" was published in March of 2009.

"Honolulu"
The story of a Korean picture bride in 1914 Hawaii who works with other wives to form a new life for herself after she is disappointed in her husband. "Honolulu" was written by Alan Brennert and published by St. Martin's Press in March of 2009.

"Molokai"
A young girl's dreams of traveling around the world are dashed when she is diagnosed with Hanson's Disease (aka leprosy) and sent to live in quarantine on the island of Molokai. "Honolulu" was written by Alan Brennert and published by St. Martin's Press in March of 2003.
