North Shore Surf and Cultural Museum
This small museum in the North Shore Marketplace shopping center opened on August 8, 1999 as part of the celebration marking the 100th Anniversary of Haleiwa Town.

Honolulu Surf Museum
The Honolulu Surf Museum next to the Jimmy Buffett's Restaurant at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel is considered by some to be more of a fun bar then a restaurant but it does feature items from Jimmy Buffett's personal surf memorabilia collection.

California Surfing Museums

California Surf Museum
Located at 223 North Coast Highway in Oceanside, Southern California. For more information call 760-721-6876.

International Surfing Museum of Huntington Beach
Features exhibits honoring Corky Carrol, Linda Benson, Bud Browne, Duke Kahanamoku, and other surfing pioneers and surfing legends. Other exhibits feature the history of surfing movies, surfing inspired music, surfboards, and surfing memorabilia. The museum is also the home of the Huntington Beach Surfing Hall of Fame. Santa Barbara Surf Museum
Founded by James O'Mahoney in 1992. Located at 16 1/2 Helena Avenue in Santa Barbara, South Central California. For more information call 805-962-9048

Santa Cruz Surfing Museum
Located at 701 West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz, Northern California. For more information call 831-420-6289.

Surfing Heritage Foundation
California based organization founded to preserve, present, and promote surfing's heritage.

Surfing Museums in Other Parts of the World

Surf World Australia
This Australian surfing museum in Torquay, Victoria, Australia opened in December of 1993 and it is the home of the Australia surfing Hall of Fame Other museum exhibits include a big wave exhibit, a surf board exhibit, a surfing culture exhibit, surfing films, and a surfing photography.

British Surfing Museum
This surfing museum in the UK was founded in 2003. In June of 2009 museum officials submitted a plan to the North Devon District Council to establish the Museum of British Surfing History in a 6000 square foot building in Braunton.
