Hawaiian Sovereignty Web Sites

Web sites on the Internet that are focused on the Hawaiian sovereignty issue, and Web sites related to that issue.

Hawaii Independent and Sovereign
This Web site filled with pro sovereignty articles and resources is edited by Scott Crawford and Kekula Bray=Crawford of East Maui. (hawaii-nation.org)

Hawaiian Independence Blog
This pro Hawaiian Independence blog is edited by Scott Crawford of East Maui. It blog also covers kalo farming in East Maui.(hawaiiankingdom.info)

This Web site recognizes James Kimo Akahi - aka James Akahi Nui - as the current ruler of the Kingdom of Hawaii. His claim is controversial among those in the Hawaiian sovereignty movement.

A Web site edited by Thurston Twigg-Smith, author of the 1998 book "Hawaiian Sovereignty: Do the Facts Matter?" Twigg-Smith is the grandson of Lorrin A. Thurston, a leader of the 1893 overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom that eventually led to Hawaiian Statehood.

Anti-Hawaiian Sovereignty
This anti-sovereignty Web site argues against making Hawaii an independent nation, giving Hawaiians Native American tribe status, and it is also against paying reparations to descendants of Hawaiians for the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Kingdom of Hawaii: Reinstatement and Recognition
I'm still digging through this Web site to determine its primary focus but it appears to be a collection of pro-sovereignty resources that can be viewed on the Internet.

Hawaiian Society of Law and Politics
An organization founded at the University of Hawaii in October 30 2003 to study and write articles about how public international law relates to Hawaiian history and Hawaiian Statehood.
