These publications will give you an up-to-date introduction to activities, attractions, events, and restaurants currently operating on all of the islands. Free Hawaii Visitor Magazines With Maps

Aloha Maps of Hawaii
The Aloha Maps of Hawaii is a booklet featuring 32 detailed maps of islands and regions in Hawaii. maps. Includes maps of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. Winner of the Hawaii Publisher's Association Pai Award. Their Hawaii maps booklet is available free at visitor centers and kiosks all over Hawaii. HOW TO MAIL ORDER: The Aloha Maps of Hawaii publication can be picked up free in Hawaii but you can also Mail Order Aloha Maps of Hawaii for about $7.00 by filling out a forum on their Web site. There is a great deal of Hawaii information on this Web site, and it can be filtered by island using the menu across the top of the page.

Published by the Honolulu Publishing Company and available free at car rental offices throughout Hawaii (if you are not given this magazine when you rent a car, ask for one). Copies can also be purchased on the Drive Guide Magazines Web site for about $4.00 each. The publication Note that there are five separate editions, one for each of Hawaii's five largest islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, and Hawaii Island. If you mail order the guide, be sure to indicate which island edition you are ordering. The guides can be mail ordered on the Honolulu Publishing Company's Drive Guide Magazines Web site. When this company was founded in 1991 they only had one magazine called "TV Maui".that was primarily a television listing for Maui hotel rooms. In 1995 the name of the magazine was changed to "Maui Visitor Magazine". A Hawaii Island edition was added in 2002, a Kauai edition in 2003 and an Oahu edition in 2004. Today the magazine has a full color advertising sections in the front, a black and white center section with television listings, a calendar of events. There is also a full color advertising section at the back that also includes a golf course map, an entire island map, and smaller maps of the most visited areas. The publication can be picked up in tourist centers on Maui, Kauai, Oahu, and the Big Island, digital full issues can be viewed online of some of the editions, and there is quite a lot of island-specific information on the Web site of each edition.

101 Things To Do
These activity guides are available for Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. They can be picked up free at many locations in the busiest tourist areas of each of those islands. They can also be purchased on the publication's Web site for about $6.00 each or under $20 for the all-island set. Their Web site also sells coupons for activity, restaurant, and hotel discounts. Activities and Attractions Guidebooks
Official publication of the non-profit trade association known as the Activity and Attractions Association of Hawaii (A3H). The association's membership includes more then 200 of Hawaii's activity and tour operators, on all of the islands. The organization has two Web sites, a consumer site at hawaiifun.org and a member site at a3h.org. Their guidebooks can be picked up free at tourism centers on Oahu, Maui, and Kauai and they have a map of Hawaii Island that is also available free. HOW TO ORDER: This publication can be picked up free in Hawaii but you can also Mail Order the Activities and Atrractions Guide for about $5.00 each by visiting the guidebook shop on their Web site. PDF versions of their most recent guides can also be downloaded free from their Web site.

QuickGuide and Where Guestbook
Morris Visitor Publications is most well known for publishing the Where Magazine cities guides but they also publish a series of local travel booklets for various travel destinations. Their Hawaii publications are published under either the name QuickGuide or Where Guestbook and they are available for Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Island. HOW TO ORDER: I don't think you an mail order these guides, but you can try calling thir main headquarters in Augusta, Georgia at 800-680-4035 or their Honolulu office at 808-944-8036.

Spotlight Gold Visitor Publications
Spotlight Hawaii Publishing has four free Hawaii Visitor Magazines, Oahu Gold, Maui Gold, Kauai Gold, and Big Island Gold. HOW TO ORDER: This publication can be picked up free at visitor centers and kiosks throughout Hawaii but you can also Mail Order Spotlight Gold Magazine for about $4.00 per magazine if you live in the United States and $5.00 to $8.50 if you live outside the United States. All four magazines can be mail ordered for $6 to $18 for the set, depending on where you live.

This Week Magazine
Free visitor publication with separate editions for the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. Available free at visitor centers and brochure kiosks throughout Hawaii. Published weekly since 1966.
