Contribute to Cause in Hawaii

Hawaii visitors can express their love of Hawaii and share their aloha spirit by contributing to a good cause in Hawaii. IMPORTANT NOTE: We have not researched the background, overhead costs, and accomplishments of these organizations and we are not recommending that you contribute to any of them. We encourage everyone to find out exactly how your contributions will be used before making a donation to any organization, inside or outside of Hawaii.

Community

Hawaii Foodbank
Collects, stores, and distributes perishable and non-perishable food to Hawaii's food pantries and food kitchens for those in need.

Aloha United Way
Over the years the Aloha United WEay has evolved from being primarily a fundraising organization to being an advocacy group for improving the local community by targeting issues such as homelessness and early childhood development. For more information call 808-536-1951.

Hawaii Community Foundation
A public, statewide, charitable services and grant making organization supported by donor contributions for the benefit of Hawaii's people.

Helping Hands Hawaii
Mission is to strengthen communities in Hawaii by delivery goods and services to those in need.

Hale Kipa
Provides shelter, support and advocacy services for at-risk youth in Hawaii Services include prevention and intervention programs, foster care, shelter services, residential homes and outreach services.

Patch Hawaii
A statewide child care resource and referral agency. The organization is a member of the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies.

Nature

Honolulu Zoo Society
Organization founded to support the Honolulu Zoo and its mission to foster an appreciation of the "living world".

Friends of the Panaewa Rainforest Zoo
Organization founded to help support the Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens in Hilo on the east side of Hawaii Island.

Friends of the Waikiki Aquarium
Membership contributions make it possible for the Waikiki Aquarium to maintain its tropical marine exhibits, launch new exhibits, offer educational programs and classes, continue efforts its marine life conservation and preservation efforts.

Friends of Hanauma Bay
Founded to support the University of Hawaii's Hanauma Bay Education Program. Program volunteers give tours of Hanauma Bay and staff the Hanauma Bay education desk and they organize quarterly cleanups and other enhancements of the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

Hawaiian Humane Society
Hawaii-based animal advocacy organization founded in 1897 to promote the bond between humans and animals and the humane treatment of all animals. See also the Maui Humane Society, the Kauai Humane Society, and the Hawaii Island Humane Society

Friends of Kamalani and Lydgate Park
A group of Kauai residents who volunteered design, build, and maintain the Kamalani Playground and Lydgate Park in Kapaa on the east coast of Kauai Island.

Garden Island Arts Center
This organization based in Lihue, Kauai was founded to support and nurture all of the arts on Kauai and make connections with artists and artists on all of the Hawaiian Islands, in the mainland, and around the world.

Kauai Society of Artists
This organization provides exhibition and educational opportunities to Kauai artists. They sponsor art exhibitions, artists lectures, and a newsletter to support and develop the talents of Kauai's visual artists promote public appreciation for the arts.

Kauai Concert Association
This association organizes a series of concerts on the island of Kauai, including classical music concerts, jazz concerts, folk music concerts, and dance company performances.

Annual fundraising event for the American Heart Association of Hawaii.

Provides mental health services through a network of mental healtyh professionals.

Breathe Concert

Malama Pono: Kauai AIDS Project
Organization founded to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, and infectious Hepatitis on the island of Kauai through education and providing services those people infected with or affected by those diseases.
